When my son comes home from school everyday....I always make sure he has a meal to eat before having to run off to basketball practice. I don't want him to just grab and peanut sandwich and gatorade, which is totally what he would do otherwise. He is extremely active year round and burns A LOT of calories. Today, I made him some potato soup, grilled roast beef and cheese sandwhich with a side of strawberries and bananas. It really makes me feel good to know they are getting something better than they would if I weren't there making it for them.
I am so excited to be able to start this journey with each and everyone of you! This isn't your typical first blog post I suppose, however I just wanted to share a little more about me, my family and my hearts desire for this blog.
I love being a stay at home mom and wife. This is one of the greatest blessings I could ever ask for. I am so grateful for such and awesome and supportive husband. Currently, I have been home for approximately 2 years. My little girl will be 2 very soon! I stopped working when I had her, which was our plan. My son will soon be 17 (big age gap, I know.) They all keep me busy, but I am starting to settle into a place where my passion for helping people, encouraging the creativity in others while nurturing my own is really beginning to take shape.
Cooking is something I truly enjoy because I feel like I am taking care of my loved ones like no one else can. I try to incorporate healthy foods and yummy treats! I love going into a home that smells of delicious food espcially if it is my own. It is also important for me to know what is in my food. I am by no means obsessive about it, but I endeavor to make mostly healthy/organic/farmer's market fresh choices.
In addition to food, I thoroughly enjoy organization, home decor and diy's. You will see some of those fun ideas on my blog as well. Once again I am very excited to travel this road with you all! Blessings!
I am a stay at home mom, wife and full time blogger. I love people and I love helping them pull out that creative side and to love who they are. I aspire to inspire and leave large footprints.
